Confession: I'm kind of feeling Jeanine Pirro

As articulated in this ad from the five minutes when she was running for Senate, Pirro is for gun control, abortion on demand, and mandatory gay rights (I love the "mandatory" in that phrase). My biggest problem with her is that she's so pro-death penalty. But I think I am more offended by how utterly unqualified Cuomo is. Plus there's the fact that she's a woman, and Lebanese, and talks forcefully about gay rights at every opportunity.

This is the first time ever that I am considering voting Republican. Of course, she's currently down 55 – 34% among likely voters, so in the sense of endorsing an inevitable loser I am completely consistent with my voting record.

Also, her scandals are way more fun than Cuomo's. It'd be entertaining to keep her in the spotlight for the next four years.

Yeah, I love that on the very day of her debate with Cuomo her shitbag husband does an interview with New York magazine in which he basically calls her a sexless harridan whose workaholism forced him to philander. He as much as said that as soon as she loses this race he's going to divorce her. What a train wreck.

But in the debate I so preferred her to Cuomo, didn't you? You just know he's going to be completely incompetent as AG.

I didn't watch the debate, and I've given basically no thought to my AG vote yet.

Andrew Cuomo is just so despicable, riding on daddy's coattails, marrying a Kennedy for the most transparent of reasons, just unabashed mediocrity wrapped up in nepotism.

Aside from my personal dislike of him, however, I'd rather have a spitfire AG than some mediocre machine hack who would just coast along for 4 years. Cuomo is the Betsy Gotbaum of state politics.

Pirro could potentially be a good check to the Democrats' control of state politics (since unchecked, consolidated power leads to corruption no matter which party happens to be in charge).

But she will, of course, lose, barring some bizarre turn of events (Cuomo would basically have to videotape himself having sex with a 14 year old in order to lose).

How's the cosy arrangement among Joe Bruno, George Pataki, and Shelly Silver working out for us?

Right, but I see Andy Cuomo fitting into that diabolical old boys club a lot better than some loud Arab ball-buster.

I think Pirro was just trying to get the votes of the gay community, I think it is a cheap shoot, as many politicians the would say anything for votes, and when they win, they do the opposite of what they said before votes.
