Breaking News: Hottest Gay Journalist in New York Contest Extended

Because we have just been gawked, I am going to extend the contest until Wednesday evening. Winner announced Thursday morning.

One nominee confessed to me that he has been waging a (semi-successful) "Kathy Lee Gifford-style scheme (emulating her populist campaign to win TV Guide's sexiest star award)" to inflate his vote count.

"I support marriage equality and would oppose changes to our Constitution that is in effect legalized discrimination. I support this over civil unions because of the rights associated with marriage equality are more encompassing. Those religious institutions whose faith policy allows only heterosexual unions should be allowed to practice their beliefs. The same rights that exist in state laws that permit common law partners of opposite sex should apply to same gender relationships that have provided evidence of their being enduring. My campaign is about building bridges, not walls so discrimination and exploitation are criminalized."

Ten Worst Americans Our group effort at coming up with the ten worst Americans of all time is our most heavily trafficked page. It's linked on many other sites as an example of "extreme leftist propaganda", but I (Solomon) am just happy to be getting the word out about number two on the list.

Left Behinds Gets Spanked Our greatest honor of 2005 was a takedown in the very popular MILBlogging.com, where the man behind the milblogs (a man who SG had called "unnecessary and annoying" in a previous post) noted graciously that LB "looks like some third-grade school project written by some Marilyn Manson-looking blogger named Solomon Grundy, a childhood friend of Cindy Sheehan, and a few other contributors." And that was just in his first paragraph. But by the end of the bashing we were not just friends, we were lovers.
