Who was it? I can't tell from the following (old, I admit, but I just noticed it) blind item from HX Magazine:

You hustled? I did do sexual things for money. With men, I’ve never performed or had fellatio performed, but I did do jerk-off things. I would go in a peep booth and watch straight porn and get paid 5 or 10 dollars to have somebody watch me masturbate.

Anyone famous? Yes! Yes! Very famous, yes! Let’s say a famous writer who doesn’t have what seems to be an Italian last name but he’s an Italian-American.

Also, 5 or 10 dollars? That's a seriously low-rent hustler, even for what he's talking about. That's like a crack whore.

Oh, that didn't even occur to me. I'm so gullible when I want to believe something.

I still wonder who he means, though. I mean, I think he's so creepy that he's creepy enough to have actually done what he's talking about.

It just bugs me that I can't figure out who he's referring to... Maybe it's someone old or dead, since presumably this happened when Gallo was very young... When did Gregory Corso die?

The best guess of a professor I know with an encyclopedic brain was Gay Talese, and he was unhappy with that guess, so my thinking is that VG was either BSing or has a funny definition of "very famous."

And that was just in his first paragraph. But by the end of the bashing we were not just friends, we were lovers.
