SNL Narnia Rap: His cupcakes bring all the boys to the yard
Andy Samberg is my new crush. In case you can't guess, he's the shaggy-haired, pouty-lipped man-gamine rapping about grabbing a baker's dozen cupcakes at Magnolia in this very funny SNL clip, "Lazy Sunday."
I Googled him moments after I saw this Saturday night, and all I discovered is that he's 26, he's from Berkeley originally, he used to be in the comedy groupThe Lonely Island, and he went to Chabot elementary school with funny comedian (and former classmate of mine) Chelsea Peretti. What does he do in his spare time? Is he gay? Does he want to date me? These are the questions Google failed to answer.
The Voice has a somewhat overly intellectualized but entertaining review of the rap that argues that it works so well because it avoids the cliches of whiteboy rap parodies. I agree, but I think Tom Breihan is ignoring the most obvious appeal of the video: Andy Samberg is as delicious as those Magnolia cupcakes.

There's no such thing as too much lippage.
I love the head bobbing. He needs to live in my purse.

What a great show SNL is, well the new seasons are not that good, but the old seasons are just the best, with Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, etc.
